Add a Printer:

Q: I’m printing more than 5 pages. Which laserprinter do I add?
A: See me first. Why do you need to print so many pages?

Q: I’m printing just a few pages. Which laserprinter do I add?
A:

Q: Where’s the printer?
A: It’s not in this room. See the small room next door? It’s in there.

Q: I want to print in colour. Which printer do I add?
A: See me.

Changing My Password:

Q: How do I change my password for my school computer account?
A: After you log in, press CTRL-ALT-DEL & choose Change Password.

Q: How do I change my Moodle password?
A:
You can’t. Only the administrator can & even then, it’s assigned to you.

Classroom Tools:

Q: Can I use my school online accounts for my personal use?
A: No. At the end of the course, you’ll be asked to delete everything.

Q: Can I use my personal online accounts for school?
A: No. You need to make new accounts & give me the username/password.

Q: Why do we have to delete all our online work at the end of the course?
A: To preserve your privacy. It’s also the district rule.

Computer Account:

Q: I forgot my password (Did you check that the Cap Lock is off?).
A: I need your full name & grade on paper. New password is welcome. Change your password as soon as you log on.

Q: I’ve never been able to log on, not even at the beginning.
A: Did you bring in your internet contract? No? Do that first (hand it in at the office – you don’t have to see me). If yes, come see me after school or Tues/Thur at lunch.

Q: Why won’t you talk to me about my computer account?
A: Did you interrupt a lesson? See me after school or Tues/Thur at lunch.

Facebook & Other Social Media:

Q: Why can’t we use Facebook during class if we’re done our work?
A: Because you’re on school time. Socialize online on your own time.

Q: Do you think you’ll change your mind?
A: No. It’s school policy.

Q: But…
A: I sympathize, but I don’t socialize online during work time either.

Q: But…
A: Seriously, I’ve heard all the arguments before. My answer’s still “no.”

Games @ Lunch:

Q: Why can’t we play games at lunch in the lab like we did last year?
A: Because I had to fix the lab at the end of the year.

Q: Do you think you’ll change your mind?
A: No. You’ll have to play games on your iPod Touch or PSP.

Moodle Account:
