Twitter discussions are scheduled (usually for an hour) so students can discuss a specific topic (usually decided upon and announced ahead of time) or their reactions to/questions of a lesson in session. Modeled after current conference practices, we’re trying them for the first time as a pilot project for 2011/2012 in Marketing 11/12. Since Twitter was designed as an public platform and students will be practicing professional and safe practices for posting online (while using pseudonyms; no real names allowed either in usernames or references to others), the classroom discussions will be archived here online for future classes to learn from. A minimum of one Twitter discussion per month.
