All Students (Android & Apple iOS)

  1. Evernote
    Free app that helps you remember everything across all of the devices you use. Lets you take notes, capture photos, create to-do lists, record voice reminders–and makes these notes completely searchable, whether you are at home, at school, or on the go. For Androids, Evernote is also available as a widget.
  2. Dropbox
    A free service that lets you bring all your photos, docs, and videos anywhere. Any file you save to your Dropbox is accessible from all your computers, Android, iPhone, iPad and even the Dropbox website.
  3. Flashcardlet (Apple only)
    A free, easy-to-use studying application with material for any class or standardized test. You can also create and share your own. You can email your flashcard decks or share them using Dropbox. Flashcardlet allows you to search for, study, and make local edits to flashcards.
  4. AnyMemo or QuizYourBrain (Android only)
    A free, flash card studying application. Text-to-Speech. Download from Quizlet or Dropbox. Create decks & upload to Dropbox.
  5. Socrative Student Clicker
    Polling clicker for student responses.
  6. Microsoft Tag
    This app will scan QR codes and the less-known Microsoft Tag codes (which are printed on The Cave’s cups).
  7. Pocket
    Use Pocket when you discover an interesting article, video or web page, but don’t have time to go through it. Once it’s in Pocket, it’s on your phone, tablet, or computer. Automatically syncs to your phone, tablet, or computer so you can view it any time, even without an internet connection.

Business Education Students (Android & Apple)

  1. Diigo Power Note (Android only)
    Add text note, take picture, import text message, add bookmarks to your library. Organize text note, picture, bookmarks etc into lists. Sync data with website. Mark webpages as “read later” in desktop browsers, then read it on the phone
  2. Diigo Offline Reader (iPhone, iPod Touch)
    Diigo offline Reader lets you save websites, search and browse your Diigo library, and download files for offline browsing.
  3. Diigo (iPad)
    Your all-purpose digital library on iPad – bookmarks, archives, annotations, notes, images, and screenshots. Collect everything, find fast, share easily, and access anywhere.
  4. Harvest
    Track time and log expenses on-the-go whether you’re online or offline. You can upload photos of your receipts as you enter expenses so you keep all your records organized.
  5. Hootsuite
    Manage social media for The Cave. Participate in class Twitter discussions.
  6. Posterous (not all Android phones)
    To share photos, video and ideas with the class. Upload everything via email.
